Dr. Lazarova has over 35 years of experience in the fields of wastewater treatment, water reuse and desalination as a former senior expert for the SUEZ group and as Executive Director of the consulting company Water Globe Consultants.
Her contribution to the global water sector was illustrated by a number of scientific publications, helping to bridge the gap between science and research, theory and practice, policy and regulations, as well as for capacity building and disemination of innovation, know-how and good practices at national and international levels.
Dr. Lazarova is the former Chair of the IWA Water Reuse Specialist Group and with active participation in many other international committees, organisations and associations.
For her outstanding achievements, she received the distingished French awards of CNRS Innovation and was made Chevalier de l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur by the French Government.
